July 2020 Internet Safety Train-the-Trainer

Thank you for your interest in the July 16, 2020, Internet Safety Train-the-Trainer Training provided by Texas Center for the Missing. This training is specifically designed to teach school resource officers, law enforcement personnel, volunteer trainers, and educators how to deliver comprehensive Internet Safety Programs to children and parents.  Additionally, participants receive supplemental materials, resource lists, and a flash drive containing all pertinent documents.  It is co-sponsored by Texas Center for the Missing, Houston-Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Children's Assessment Center.

The NetSmartz Workshop (www.netsmartz.org) was developed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in conjunction with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program and in partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Course Name:  Internet Safety Train-the-Trainer Training

Course Hours:  3 Hours (TCOLE Credits available)

Date and Time:  July 16, 2020, 9 AM - 12 PM

Instructor:  Beth Alberts, CEO, Texas Center for the Missing

Location:  Webinar via WebEx System (link sent in confirmation email)

Cost:  Free, but information for your background check must be completed and returned to Beth Alberts 3 business days prior to the training.  Trainees agree to provide 3 trainings in their local communities within 1 year of training.  To receive a physical Trainer Notebook with flash drive, participants must attend the training, complete the evaluation after the training, and schedule a time for pickup at the Children's Assessment Center in Houston.  All materials will be available for download after the training.  For questions, support@tcftm.org.
